Wordpress Tutorial - Editing a Page
Is your website built in Wordpress? Do you have pages you want to edit? This tutorial will show you how. Many of the options for editing a page are also used for editing posts. If you are brand new to Wordpress, check out this tutorial first.
Step 1: Log in to Wordpress |
Step 2: Click "Pages" on the Left Navigation |

When you log in to Wordpress, you'll see many options on the left-hand side of the Dashboard. Click "Pages." If you click the arrow next to it, you'll see two options - "All Pages" and "Add New." Click "All Pages" to view a list of the pages in your website. |
Step 3: Choose the Page You Want to Edit
Note which page you want to edit from the list. I'm going to edit the "About" page.

When you hover your mouse over the page title, you'll see several options appear. Click the word "Edit." |

Step 4: Edit ContentReplace or add whatever content you want in the content box below the title. You can also change the title if you want. Use the buttons above the text box to stylize your text. Don't forget about the additional options that appear when you click the "show kitchen sink" button. |

| HTML View: You can edit your content using HTML code if you want. However, this is ONLY RECOMMENDED TO ADVANCED USERS. If you do not know HTML, just used the Visual editor, accessed by click the tab that says "Visual." | ||

Congratulations, You've Edited the Page
When I view my site, I can see that the content I put in the editor shows up. Notice how I've stylized some text and added links. The tutorial on publishing posts talks more in depth about that.
